Trend Micro™ Email Encryption for InterScan™ Messaging Hosted Security is an add-on service that integrates seamlessly with the content filtering capabilities of Trend Micro’s hosted email security service. This policy-based encryption applies content filtering rules to identify particular types of content and encrypts emails when the rules are triggered. With policy-based encryption, organizations do not have to rely on end users to secure important content. Encryption is automatically applied, enabling organizations to enforce compliance requirements and help ensure confidential information is kept secure.
No additional hardware or software is needed. Encryption is offered as a rule action in InterScan Messaging Hosted Security—administrators simply check a box to apply encryption.

Must use InterScan Messaging Hosted Security Advanced with outbound content filtering. No additional hardware or software is required.
System Requirements for InterScan Messaging Hosted Security
InterScan Messaging Hosted Security does not require email security hardware or software. All scanning hardware and software is located offsite at Trend Micro's secure network operating centers. A personal computer with Internet access is required to use the web-based InterScan Messaging Hosted Security administrative console. Encryption is applied through this console.
